\r\n Israa University in Gaza announced Thursday (14/4/2016), the implementation of the quality procedures according to ISO 9001 quality standards, during a ceremony organized at the university headquarter in Gaza city.
\r\n\r\n Dr. Adnan Al Hajjar, University president explained that this strategic step is a part of the university aspiration to maintain the highest standards of teaching, research and the enhancement of society core values, Israa University is committed, through its Strategic Plan, to ensuring students experience excellent learning outcomes and enhanced educational opportunities.
\r\n\r\n Al Hajjar added, the quality work supports the University in achieving its vision defined at the Strategic plan. Every member of the academic community shall contribute to the common goal of achieving the University’s objectives and shall be responsible for his or her performance and outcomes. The University’s quality system will aid the academic team and its members in developing a framework for quality management.
\r\n\r\n Mr. Musa Al-Astal, Head of Planning and Quality, provided a presentation on the main stages to start quality system according to the international quality standards, stressing that the implementation of ISO 9001 procedures in such a short period emphasizes the university's keenness on excellence and development among the Palestinian universities.
\r\n\r\n At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Ibrahim Hasayna, vice-Chairman of the Board introduced the policy of quality standards, declaring the university commitment to the ISO 9001 procedures, and signed it along with the university president and all staff at the university.
