The Department of E-Commerce and Digital Marketing at the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at Al-Israa University – Palestine announced the implementation of a practical training program for third-level students enrolled in the courses Services Marketing and Banking Marketing. The program will run for three weeks, from December 15, 2025, to January 16, 2026.

The training program, supervised by course lecturer Dr. Majed Al-Jadi, aims to qualify students and provide them with practical and applied knowledge in the field of banking and finance. This is achieved through training at the Virtual National Bank and the BANKS accounting system, a digital platform affiliated with the Academy of Financial and Banking Sciences in Gaza.

The training includes familiarizing students with various types of bank accounts and the requirements for opening them, as well as the use of deposit and withdrawal tools, including checks and deposit and payment vouchers. It also involves simulation-based training on opening accounts for individuals, companies, institutions, and charitable organizations, in addition to conducting cash and check deposit and withdrawal transactions.

The program further covers direct banking facilities such as current accounts, loans, and credit cards, as well as indirect banking facilities such as letters of guarantee and documentary credits. This is aimed at preparing students for employment requirements in banks and exchange companies and providing them with the practical experience necessary to master the banking profession.

In addition, the training includes simulation-based practice on the BANKS system for procedures related to linking and releasing deposits of various types, breaking deposits, and calculating profits based on deposit amounts and maturity periods. Students are also trained on sending and receiving local and international remittances through SWIFT and MoneyGram, as well as on issuing IBAN numbers for customers.

This training comes within the framework of the university’s commitment to strengthening the practical and applied aspects of education, ensuring the preparation of qualified graduates capable of meeting the challenges of the labor market.

For her part, Dr. Samar Atallah, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, stated that this training represents a valuable opportunity for students to gain insight into the real working environment of banks and acquire practical skills that enable them to enter the labor market with confidence and competence. She emphasized the importance of such programs in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
