Al-Isra University – Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences held an online scientific seminar on Saturday via Google Meet, with the participation of Eng. Aed Abu Ramadan, President of the Gaza Chamber of Commerce and Industry and member of the Gaza Administration Committee, and Dr. Khalil Atallah, Director of Public Relations at the Chamber. The seminar was attended by Dr. Samar Atallah, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, along with a number of academics and university students, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and communication between academic institutions and the commercial and economic sectors.
The meeting addressed several current economic issues, the role of the Gaza Chamber of Commerce and Industry in supporting the private sector, and the challenges facing the local economy under current circumstances. It also highlighted the importance of aligning university education outcomes with labor market needs and enhancing students’ understanding of the economic realities.
Dr. Samar Atallah emphasized the importance of organizing such purposeful meetings, given their role in linking academic knowledge with practical application and enriching students’ skills in line with labor market demands. She stressed the faculty’s commitment to expanding avenues of cooperation with national institutions.
For his part, Eng. Aed Abu Ramadan underscored the importance of effective partnerships between universities and economic institutions, noting the vital role that youth and graduates play in supporting economic development. He emphasized the need to equip them with the knowledge and practical skills required by the labor market.
Eng. Abu Ramadan also expressed his appreciation to Al-Isra University for organizing this important scientific meeting, praising the efforts of the university administration and the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences in strengthening communication with economic institutions. He affirmed that such meetings contribute to broadening students’ perspectives and connecting academic knowledge with real-world practice, ultimately serving the interests of students and the community while supporting economic development.
Dr. Khalil Atallah reviewed the role of the Public Relations Department at the Gaza Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressing the importance of institutional communication and building partnerships with universities. He affirmed the Chamber’s commitment to supporting academic initiatives that enhance students’ skills and promote their integration into the labor market.
At the conclusion of the meeting, academics and students expressed their appreciation for this engagement, emphasizing the importance of such seminars in linking theoretical knowledge with practical realities. They praised Al-Isra University for organizing events that contribute to preparing qualified cadres capable of facing future challenges.
