Al-Israa University Receives Director of the Global Peace Mission – Malaysia in Gaza to Explore Avenues of Cooperation

Al-Israa University in Gaza City welcomed Dr. Tareq Al-Talmas, Director of the Global Peace Mission – Malaysia in Gaza, as part of efforts to explore avenues for mutual cooperation and strengthen communication in the academic, community, and humanitarian fields.
Dr. Al-Talmas was received by Professor Dr. Alaa Matar, President of the University; Dr. Munther Azzam, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; and Dr. Ahmad Al-Salibi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.
The meeting explored prospects for cooperation between Al-Israa University and the Global Peace Mission – Malaysia, as well as the possibility of implementing joint initiatives and programs that contribute to supporting students and serving the community.
Dr. Tareq Al-Talmas stated that his visit to Al-Israa University reflects the importance of building bridges of cooperation with Palestinian academic institutions. He noted that the mission is keen to strengthen partnerships that serve the community, support students, and contribute to conveying a message of peace and solidarity to the Palestinian people.
For his part, Professor Dr. Alaa Matar welcomed the visit of the Director of the Global Peace Mission – Malaysia, emphasizing that the University welcomes all efforts aimed at strengthening cooperation with international and humanitarian institutions and organizations.
Dr. Matar explained that Al-Israa University seeks to expand its network of partnerships in a manner that serves its academic and community mission. He expressed his hope that such meetings would lead to joint programs and projects that benefit students and the Palestinian community.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining communication and coordination and working to translate the ideas and proposals discussed into practical steps that will strengthen mutual cooperation in the coming period.
