Isra University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Turkish World Education Foundation during a ceremony that also witnessed the provision of financial scholarships to 50 university students. The event was attended by the beneficiary students as part of efforts to support their educational journey and assist them amid the difficult circumstances facing the Gaza Strip.

The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Alaa Mohammed Matar, President of the University; Dr. Munther Azzam, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Mr. Mustafa Diab, Director of the Student Affairs Department; and Mr. Osama Balousha, Executive Director of the World Education Foundation in Gaza, along with the male and female students benefiting from the scholarship.

Professor Dr. Alaa Matar expressed his appreciation to the World Education Foundation for its initiative and support for university students, emphasizing that the initiative reflects the importance of cooperation and joint efforts in supporting education and empowering students to continue their academic journey despite the current challenges.

He affirmed that Isra University continues to fulfill its educational mission and stand by its students, while working to strengthen its relations with institutions that support education in order to provide students with greater opportunities for assistance and support.

For his part, Mr. Osama Balousha affirmed the World Education Foundation’s commitment to continuing its support for Isra University students and strengthening cooperation with the university in ways that serve students and support the continuity of the educational process.

The signing ceremony concluded with an affirmation of the two sides’ commitment to continued cooperation and the expansion of its areas of collaboration in a manner that strengthens support for students and contributes to serving education and the wider community.
