Al-Isra University Publishes the 15th Issue of the Al-Isra University Journal of Applied Sciences

Al-Isra University – Palestine has published the 15th issue of the Al-Isra University Journal of Applied Sciences, which represents the second issue of Volume 9, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to support scientific research and strengthen the presence of its academic journals at both the Arab and international levels.

The new issue features a diverse collection of scientific research covering fields including medical, health, and laboratory sciences; microbiology and immunology; artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things; chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, and materials science; environmental sciences, water, and pollution; agriculture and biological control; engineering and water resources management; mathematical and statistical modeling; and digital mapping technologies.

The issue also includes research addressing health, environmental, and humanitarian issues related to Palestine and the Gaza Strip, alongside studies by researchers from Arab and international countries, reflecting the scientific and geographical diversity of the research published by the journal.

The journal continues to strengthen its position in international scientific databases. It is indexed in Scopus, where it is ranked in the third quartile (Q3), and its CiteScore has reached 1.4.

As part of its development plan, the journal is preparing to move to four issues per year starting in January 2027. This transition is intended to accommodate the growing number of manuscripts submitted to the journal, expand publication opportunities, and accelerate editorial and peer-review processes, while maintaining standards of quality and scientific integrity.

The journal has also recently updated its online platform, enhancing its interface and the way scientific content is presented. These improvements are intended to enhance the experience of researchers and readers and facilitate access to published research and the journal’s services.

Dr. Abdul Fattah Qarman, Editor-in-Chief of the journal and Dean of Scientific Research and Libraries at Al-Isra University, said that the publication of the 15th issue represents a new milestone in the journal’s development and its growing scientific presence. He noted that its classification in the third quartile (Q3) in Scopus provides an incentive to continue improving the quality of publication and peer review and to expand the journal’s presence at both the Arab and international levels. He added that the transition to four issues annually, beginning next January, together with the update of the online platform, forms part of an integrated plan to develop the journal and enhance its scientific and editorial services.

Qarman expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the editorial teams, editorial board members, reviewers, and editors for their continued scientific and professional efforts. He emphasized that the journal’s achievements are the result of collective work involving distinguished scholars and academics from Palestine, the Arab world, and various countries around the globe.

For his part, Dr. Maher Al-Bayoumi, Managing Editor of the journal, stated that the new issue reflects the expanding range of scientific fields covered by the journal and the diversity of the research it publishes. He noted that work is continuing to develop procedures for manuscript submission, peer review, editing, and publication, as well as to strengthen communication with researchers and reviewers. These efforts aim to improve editorial efficiency and maintain the quality of published research.
