📌 Al-Israa University Launches an International Research Collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) within the CURE Project

Al-Israa University – Palestine, through the Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries, has announced the launch of an international research collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) as part of the CURE project, which focuses on studying the experiences of healthcare providers in Gaza in dealing with clinical uncertainty during crises.
The project’s research team is led by Prof. Hassan Abu Obeid, Head of the Field Training Department at the College of Intermediate Studies at Al-Israa University – Palestine, in collaboration with Prof. Maria Caiata Zufferey from SUPSI, and with support from Leading House MENA.
Prof. Hassan Abu Obeid stated that this project represents an important opportunity to document the experiences of healthcare providers in Gaza during crises and highlight their ability to cope with difficult conditions. He emphasized that the collaboration with SUPSI is a significant step toward joint scientific research that serves the health and humanitarian reality in Palestine.
For his part, Dr. Abdel Fattah Qarman, Dean of Scientific Research and Libraries, explained that the deanship continues its efforts to support researchers and expand international cooperation, contributing to the development of applied scientific research and strengthening high-quality academic partnerships that serve the priorities of Palestinian society.
Additionally, Prof. Alaa Matar, President of Al-Israa University – Palestine, affirmed that this collaboration reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing its international research presence and supporting scientific projects that serve the Palestinian community, particularly in the health and humanitarian fields. He also praised the efforts of the researchers and the Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries in advancing international research partnerships.
