Al-Isra University’s Faculty of Intermediate Studies Holds In-Person Practical Training Examinations for Health Specializations
The Faculty of Intermediate Studies at Al-Isra University held in-person examinations for the practical training courses of students majoring in Nursing and Pharmacy Assistant, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and training, improve students’ academic and professional competencies, and under the supervision and follow-up of the Practical Training Department in coordination with the academic departments and trainers.
The Dean of the Faculty of Intermediate Studies, Dr. Basel Al-Sheikh, emphasized that practical examinations represent a key stage in assessing students’ performance and measuring the extent to which they have benefited from the knowledge and experience gained during their training period. He stressed the importance of integrating academic and practical aspects in preparing qualified healthcare professionals capable of entering the labor market efficiently.
Dr. Al-Sheikh stated: “At the Faculty of Intermediate Studies, we are committed to ensuring that practical training serves as a genuine extension of academic learning, and that assessment mechanisms accurately reflect the skills and knowledge our students have acquired during their field training. This enhances their professional readiness and reinforces quality standards throughout the educational process.”
For his part, Mr. Hassan Abu Obeid, Head of the Practical Training Department, explained that conducting the in-person examinations is part of the department’s continuous monitoring of students’ training progress and its commitment to assessing the extent to which they have benefited from the practical experience gained during their training period. He noted that assessment is an essential component of the training process, contributing to identifying students’ levels, strengthening their areas of competence, and addressing aspects that require further development.
The examinations aimed to assess the knowledge and skills acquired by students during their training period and to measure the extent to which the learning outcomes associated with the training courses had been achieved. They also sought to ensure the continuity of academic assessment in accordance with the university’s approved regulations and instructions.
The examinations were conducted in an organized and disciplined environment, with direct monitoring of student attendance and the provision of appropriate academic conditions. This ensured that the assessment process was carried out fairly and objectively and reflected the Faculty’s commitment to applying quality standards across all stages of the educational and training process.
The Practical Training Department at the Faculty of Intermediate Studies continues its efforts to monitor students throughout their training stages and develop assessment mechanisms in line with the nature and requirements of health specializations.
