The College of Intermediate Studies at Al-Israa University – Palestine has launched the practical training for first-level students in the "Fundamentals of Practical Nursing" course. The inauguration was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Basel Al-Sheikh; Head of the Health Professions Department, Mr. Sameh Al-Amoody; and Head of the Field Training Department, Mr. Hassan Abu Ubaid.
The launch of this practical training comes under exceptional and difficult circumstances following the destruction of the university building, including its nursing laboratories—an event that posed a major challenge to the continuation of the educational process. Despite this, the university succeeded in providing suitable alternatives by securing training locations in partner clinics and health institutions that opened their doors to receive students and offer a safe and professional training environment.
Al-Israa University places great importance on the practical component of health professions, considering it a fundamental element in building students’ abilities and enhancing their professional skills. The college conducts continuous follow-up on the progress of training in the various health institutions through field visits and direct supervision to ensure the quality of the training process and to enable students to acquire the practical experience needed to integrate into the labor market with high competence.
The College’s administration affirmed that this achievement would not have been possible without the strong cooperation provided by partner health institutions, in addition to the determination of students to continue their educational journey despite the difficult circumstances. It stressed that these efforts reflect the spirit of resilience and determination among nursing students, who affirm today that challenges will not hinder their humanitarian mission to serve their community, and that they are capable of rising and building a promising future despite all hardships.
