The College of Intermediate Studies Holds Its Regular Meeting and Honors Its Former Dean

The College of Intermediate Studies at Israa University – Palestine held a meeting to discuss arrangements for the launch of the new academic semester 2025/2026, in the presence of Dr. Basel Al-Sheikh, Dean of the College, and the heads of departments in Gaza City.
Dr. Al-Sheikh opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees, praising the distinguished efforts of the college staff during the past period, and wishing them success in the upcoming المرحلة.
During the meeting, a number of vital issues were reviewed to ensure the smooth functioning of academic and administrative work. These included revising the study plan and distributing courses in a way that guarantees the best learning environment for students, developing scenarios to maintain continuity and stability of the teaching process under various circumstances, and emphasizing the importance of practical training as a bridge connecting students to the labor market. The participants also agreed on improving supervision tools and expanding the college’s partnerships with relevant institutions.
In a gesture reflecting appreciation and loyalty, the college honored its former dean, Dr. Abdel Fattah Qarman, currently the Dean of Scientific Research, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Alaa Matar, President of the University; Dr. Nahed Hijazi, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Monther Azzam, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs. The University President expressed his appreciation for the former dean’s distinguished record of achievements and affirmed the university’s commitment to honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to its development.
For his part, Dr. Al-Sheikh, Dean of the College, said:
“We stand today with great pride to honor an academic figure who has had a profound impact on the journey of the College of Intermediate Studies. Dr. Abdel Fattah Qarman has been a model of dedication, sincerity, and institutional work. During his tenure, he contributed to strengthening the foundations of the college, developing its academic programs, and enhancing its role in serving the community. This recognition is but a simple expression of our appreciation for his great efforts and lasting contributions.”
