📌 From Dublin to Gaza: Al-Israa University Hosts a Lecture on Youth Leadership and Creating Change

<p class="isSelectedEnd">Gaza – Public Relations</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">As part of the Faculty of Humanities’ commitment at Al-Israa University – Palestine to strengthening international academic communication and enriching students’ experiences through hosting experts and academics from around the world, the Department of English Language organized an academic lecture entitled “Youth, Leadership, and Creating Change.” The lecture was delivered by Dr. Ciaran O’Carroll, an academic at Dublin Technological University in Ireland.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The session was moderated by Dr. Salam Al-Ustadh, Head of the English Department and a UK-based academic, alongside Dr. Ibrahim Al-Sumairi, coordinator of the event and lecturer in the department from Gaza. The event was attended by a distinguished group of faculty members and students from the English Department, reflecting a meaningful academic and cultural exchange between Gaza and the wider world.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The lecture explored the role of young people in leading social change through music, sports, arts, and community engagement. It highlighted examples from the Irish experience, where culture and creativity are employed to address social challenges and promote the values of justice and solidarity.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Dr. O’Carroll also discussed the relationship between Ireland’s history, cultural identity, and contemporary social issues. He shed light on notable examples, including the Irish-language hip-hop group “Kneecap,” community-based initiatives led by Bohemian Football Club, expressions of solidarity with Palestine, and artistic works addressing Ireland’s housing crisis.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The speaker emphasized the importance of creativity, courage, and collective action in driving positive change. He encouraged students to utilize their talents and abilities to serve their communities and contribute to building a more just and equitable world.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Addressing the youth of Gaza, Dr. O’Carroll urged them to remain hopeful and proactive despite the challenges they face. He encouraged them to harness their energy and creativity to make their voices heard globally and to contribute positively to their society.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The lecture witnessed active engagement from Al-Israa University students, featuring open discussions and a variety of questions on the role of youth in creating change, as well as the significance of arts, culture, and sports in promoting social awareness and reinforcing the values of justice and solidarity.</p> <p>The Faculty of Humanities reaffirmed its commitment to organizing and hosting international academic events and meetings that enhance students’ knowledge, develop their leadership skills, and broaden their exposure to global experiences. Deanship of Graduate Studies at Al-Israa University Holds Seminar Sessions for Master’s Students in Law

<p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Gaza – Public Relations</strong></p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The Deanship of Graduate Studies at Al-Israa University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law, held seminar sessions for Master's students in the Law Department over the course of two days. The sessions were attended by Dr. Samar Attallah, Director of the Deanship of Graduate Studies; Dr. Monther Azzam, Dean of the Faculty of Law; and committee members  Dr. Tareq Al-Deirawi, Dr. Akram Mazhar, Dr. Osama Al-Akhras, and Dr. Monther Al-Hilu.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The seminar was opened by Dr. Monther Azzam, Dean of the Faculty of Law, who welcomed the committee members and master's students. He emphasized the importance of these academic meetings in enhancing the quality of scientific research, developing students’ research skills, and guiding them toward producing rigorous legal studies that address contemporary legal issues and respond to community needs.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">During the seminar sessions, a number of research proposals submitted by master's students were discussed. Committee members provided academic feedback and methodological guidance aimed at improving the research plans and enhancing the quality of graduate studies outcomes.</p> <p>These sessions are part of the Deanship of Graduate Studies’ commitment at Al-Israa University to strengthening the quality of graduate programs and providing a supportive academic and research environment for master's students. 📌 Al-Israa University Celebrates the Achievement of Its Graduate Zarifa Abu Qoura and Her Winning of the 2026 Shireen Abu Akleh Award

The award recognizes her professional excellence and media efforts in conveying the truth and documenting the suffering of the Palestinian people during the war on the Gaza Strip.</p> <p data-start="621" data-end="997">Abu Qoura received the award during a ceremony organized by the <span class="whitespace-normal">International Federation of Journalists</span> and the <span class="whitespace-normal">International Federation of Francophone Press</span>, attended by international media and union figures. <p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Al-Isra University Discusses Master's Thesis on Obstacles to Adopting Artificial Intelligence</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Gaza_ Public Relations</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Student Naji Attwa Abu Mousa from the Business Administration Department was awarded a Master's degree in Business Administration after discussing his master's thesis titled "Technical, Human, Organizational, Financial, and External Obstacles Limiting the Adoption of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Supporting Decision-Making Processes at Gaza Electricity Distribution Company." The discussion took place via the electronic communication program ZOOM.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The discussion committee consisted of Dr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Tayeh, the primary supervisor and committee chair, Dr. Wael Nassar Badah – the second supervisor, Dr. Ahmed Ezzat Al-Salibi as an internal examiner, and Dr. Kamal Mohammed Al-Masri as an external examiner.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The discussion was attended by Dr. Munia Khalil Mazid, Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Samar Attallah, Dean of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Husayni, Vice President of the University for External Affairs.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The presented study aimed to analyze the impact of these obstacles in limiting the adoption of artificial intelligence applications and to assess the level of support for the decision-making process within the company. The researcher adopted a mixed methodology, relying on questionnaires and unstructured interviews for data collection.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The study concluded with several recommendations, including establishing a multidisciplinary artificial intelligence unit directly affiliated with the decision-making center, adopting a digital roadmap based on adaptable real-life experiences suited to the company’s environment, and adopting a gradual approach starting with pilot projects in the field of artificial intelligence.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">At the end of the session, the committee recommended awarding the student the master's degree after making the required amendments, wishing him further progress and success.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The Graduate Studies College at Al-Isra University grants a master's degree in Business Administration specialties.</span></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><ol><li data-list="bullet"><span class="ql-ui" contenteditable="false"></span><br></li></ol><p><br></p>

This issue includes a collection of original research covering diverse disciplines, including medical sciences, pharmacy, chemistry, biotechnology, engineering, information technology, data science, and artificial intelligence.
