Editorial Board of Isra University Journal of Applied Sciences (IUJAS) Holds Its Annual Meeting

The Editorial Board of the Isra University Journal of Applied Sciences (IUJAS) held its annual meeting via Google Meet, chaired by the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Abdel Fattah Qarman, with the participation of editorial board members from Palestine and abroad. The board comprises a distinguished group of prominent professors and researchers in their respective fields from several Arab and foreign countries, reflecting the journal’s international scope and strengthening its academic standing.
The Editor-in-Chief opened the meeting by welcoming the editorial board members and expressing his appreciation for their efforts in developing the journal and enhancing the quality of scientific publishing. He emphasized that the coming phase requires continued efforts to improve the quality of published research, develop editorial procedures, expand the journal’s international presence, and attract scientific expertise in line with the rapid developments in the scholarly publishing sector.
During the meeting, Dr. Ahmad Al-Masri, Head of the Scientific Journals Department at Isra University, presented the journal’s development plan. He emphasized that the upcoming phase will focus on developing the editorial workflow in accordance with international best practices, enhancing the quality of services provided to researchers, and increasing the journal’s readiness for expansion into international indexing and ranking databases.
Dr. Maher Al-Bayoumi, Managing Editor of the journal, also presented key performance indicators, highlighting the continuous improvement in publishing quality and the increased efficiency of the editorial process. He stressed the importance of relying on performance indicators to support development plans and guide decisions that enhance the journal’s competitiveness.
The meeting featured an extensive discussion on developing peer-review and editorial procedures, strengthening the journal’s international presence, attracting high-quality research, expanding academic and research partnerships, and enhancing the editorial board with new scientific expertise that reflects diversity across disciplines and geographical representation, in line with the journal’s continued growth.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Editorial Board approved a number of recommendations and an action plan for the upcoming phase, contributing to the enhancement of scientific publishing quality and further establishing the Isra University Journal of Applied Sciences (IUJAS) as a leading peer-reviewed scientific journal at both the regional and international levels.
