Al-Israa University discussed a Master’s thesis in the Business Administration program entitled:
“The Impact of Strategic Vigilance in its Dimensions (Technological Vigilance, Competitive Vigilance, Commercial Vigilance, and Environmental Vigilance) on Enhancing the Competitive Advantage of Insurance Companies in the Southern Governorates of Palestine,”
by researcher Mohammed Mahmoud Mohammed Aqilan. The defense was held virtually via Zoom, in the presence of the examination committee and a number of academics and interested participants.
The examination committee consisted of: Dr. Hussam Al-Din Harb, Assistant Professor of Business Administration, main supervisor; Dr. Ayman Radi, Assistant Professor of Business Administration, co-supervisor; Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Rahman Al-Shanti, Assistant Professor of Management, internal examiner; and Dr. Musab Al-Sheikh Khalil, Assistant Professor of Business Administration, external examiner.
The discussion was attended by Dr. Nahed Hijazi, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Ahmed Al-Husayna, Vice President for External Relations; and Dr. Sumer Attallah, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences.
The study aimed to identify the impact of strategic vigilance in its dimensions (technological vigilance, competitive vigilance, commercial vigilance, and environmental vigilance) on enhancing the competitive advantage of insurance companies in the southern governorates of Palestine.
The results showed that strategic vigilance in its various dimensions has a significant impact on strengthening the competitive advantage of Palestinian insurance companies.
The study concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which included maintaining high levels of strategic vigilance by strengthening its mechanisms and dimensions, particularly among administrative leaders, and increasing the practice of strategic vigilance as a strategic approach, with a focus on its dimensions—especially environmental and commercial vigilance—due to their role in enabling employees to acquire the required knowledge and skills, thereby enhancing their capabilities and competencies.
The study also recommended developing innovative marketing strategies targeting different customer segments, focusing on the unique value offered by companies, and improving quality, excellence, and differentiation in services and products to achieve organizational goals.
It is worth noting that the Graduate Studies Deanship at Al-Israa University grants master’s degrees in Business Administration, Law, and Accounting and Finance.
