Students from the Business Administration Department at the College of Intermediate Studies organized an interactive scientific lecture entitled "Legal and Ethical Aspects of Purchasing and Inventory Management." The session was conducted via WhatsApp as part of the Purchasing and Inventory Management course under the supervision of Mr. Mohammad Ali Al-Jarjawi.
The lecture was organized in line with modern educational approaches based on the flipped learning model, which aims to enhance student engagement by transforming learners from passive recipients of knowledge into active contributors to the learning process.
The session featured several student presentations. Abeer Al-Minawi presented a paper entitled "Fundamentals of Commercial Contracts," addressing the legal concepts governing contracts in the business environment. Zubaida Al-Shawa delivered a presentation on "Ethics and Professional Responsibility," highlighting the importance of adhering to professional values in purchasing and inventory management. Shams Al-Qattati also presented a paper entitled "Delivery Terms and Dispute Resolution," discussing key legal practices related to procurement and supply operations.
The lecture witnessed strong attendance and active participation. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Ghulban, Head of the Department of Administrative and Financial Sciences, and Dr. Mohammad Abu Amra, Assistant Dean of the College, commended the students' efforts and the high level of organization, emphasizing the importance of such activities in developing students' practical skills and enhancing their professional competencies.
The event concluded with remarks by student Mohammad Al-Sheikh, speaking on behalf of his classmates, in which he expressed appreciation to the college administration and faculty members for their continuous support. He affirmed that initiatives of this kind play a significant role in developing students' academic and professional skills.
