Professor Dr. Jabr Al-Daour أكد during his participation in a workshop organized by Al-Israa University titled: “Managing Limited Resources in the Initial Recovery Phase: Effective Strategies for Reconstruction and Achieving Sustainability” on (19/04), that the education sector in the Gaza Strip is going through a critical phase that requires unified efforts and integration of roles among various stakeholders to مواجهة current challenges and support recovery pathways.

He emphasized the importance of building effective partnerships between educational institutions and relevant entities, which would contribute to improving the quality of educational services and enhancing the sector’s ability to respond to exceptional circumstances. He noted that joint work constitutes a fundamental pillar for driving reconstruction forward.

Dr. Al-Daour explained that universities in the Gaza Strip, including Al-Israa University, face significant challenges due to damage to infrastructure, which necessitates the development of practical plans based on an accurate assessment of reality, and moving toward innovative solutions that support the continuity of the educational process and achieve sustainability.

He also highlighted the importance of investing in education as a key tool for creating positive change and building a better future, stressing that knowledge is the foundation of societal resilience and the ability to recover from crises.

In this context, he confirmed that the administrative committee is present and continues to hold preparatory meetings, working on preparing its plans and programs to serve the people efficiently and responsibly, in line with the requirements of the current phase. He pointed out that the upcoming phase will witness a special focus on recovery efforts through the launch of practical initiatives aimed at supporting citizens’ resilience and reactivating various vital sectors to achieve gradual and sustainable recovery.

At the conclusion of his remarks, Dr. Al-Daour praised the scientific and organizational level of the workshop, appreciating the efforts of Al-Israa University in organizing this qualitative event. He also commended its role in bringing together academics and experts to discuss vital issues affecting the sector, considering the workshop an important platform for exchanging expertise and presenting practical, implementable visions that contribute to supporting recovery and reconstruction efforts across various vital sectors in Gaza.
