Mission
To efficiently and transparently manage procurement, supply, storage, and distribution processes in accordance with the University's approved policies, regulations, and procedures, ensuring the optimal use of financial and material resources, safeguarding inventory and assets, and meeting the needs of the University's various colleges, departments, and centers with the required quality, efficiency, and timeliness.
Objectives of the Department:
- To provide the University with the necessary materials, supplies, equipment, and services in accordance with approved specifications, appropriate quality standards, and required timelines.
- To manage procurement and supply processes based on the principles of transparency, integrity, and fair competition, in accordance with the University's approved policies, regulations, and procedures.
- To achieve the best possible value for financial resources by controlling expenditures, comparing offers, and selecting suppliers based on quality, efficiency, and cost criteria.
- To prepare and implement annual procurement plans in coordination with the University's various colleges, departments, and centers, in accordance with its operational and strategic needs.
- To prepare and follow up on purchase requests, tenders, quotations, purchase orders, and related contracts, ensuring their completion in accordance with approved procedures and regulations.
- To manage warehouses and organize the processes of receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing materials in accordance with procedures that ensure proper preservation and accessibility.
- To maintain appropriate inventory levels, ensure the availability of essential materials, and minimize shortages, overstocking, damage, expiration, and waste.
- To implement modern inventory management systems and monitor the movement of materials and supplies, ensuring data accuracy and effective control and monitoring.
