Mission
To manage, safeguard, and develop the University’s financial resources efficiently and responsibly through the implementation of sound financial policies and regulations, the preparation of accurate financial reports, effective budget planning and monitoring, and adherence to the principles of transparency, accountability, integrity, and good governance, in support of the University’s mission in education, scientific research, and community service.
Objectives of the Finance Department
- To ensure the efficient management and optimal utilization of the University’s financial resources, achieving the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness in expenditure.
- To prepare the University’s annual budgets and monitor their implementation in accordance with approved strategic plans and priorities.
- To prepare and maintain accurate, reliable, and timely financial records, data, and reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and instructions.
- To strengthen financial and internal control systems and promote the principles of transparency, accountability, integrity, and sound financial governance practices.
- To continuously monitor revenues, expenditures, and cash flows in a manner that contributes to financial sustainability and supports management in making sound financial decisions.
- To organize and facilitate the collection of tuition fees and other revenues through efficient, clear, and user-friendly financial procedures.
- To ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, instructions, and approved financial policies, as well as internal and external audit requirements.
- To provide professional financial services and consultations to the University's colleges, departments, centers, and administrative units, and support them in managing their financial needs and operations.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of financial strategies and policies that promote the University’s institutional growth and financial sustainability in the short, medium, and long term.
