To provide distinguished engineering and technical services that contribute to the planning, design, supervision, implementation, maintenance, and sustainable development of university buildings, facilities, and infrastructure through the application of best practices and modern engineering standards, ensuring the optimal use of resources and achieving the highest levels of quality, efficiency, and safety, in a manner that meets the needs of the university community and supports the University's continued development and growth.

Objectives of the Department:

1. To plan and continuously develop the University's infrastructure, buildings, facilities, and installations in line with its current and future needs.
2. To prepare the engineering studies, plans, and designs required for university projects, buildings, and facilities in accordance with approved engineering standards and specifications.
3. To supervise the implementation of construction and engineering projects and monitor the various stages of work, ensuring compliance with approved plans, technical specifications, timelines, and applicable standards.
4. To prepare tender documents, technical specifications, bills of quantities, and cost estimates for engineering projects, and participate in the evaluation of submitted bids in accordance with approved regulations and procedures.
5. To oversee routine and emergency maintenance of buildings, facilities, equipment, and infrastructure, while working to enhance their efficiency and extend their operational lifespan.
6. To ensure the application of quality, safety, and sustainability standards across all engineering projects and works undertaken by the University.
7. To promote the efficient use of resources, energy, and water, and adopt modern engineering solutions and technologies that contribute to environmental sustainability and the reduction of operational costs.
8. To prepare engineering plans and studies required for the University's future expansion and development in alignment with its vision, mission, and strategic plans.
