Mission

To provide a safe and healthy university environment through the implementation of best practices and preventive procedures in the fields of security and safety; protecting lives, property, and university facilities; ensuring effective preparedness to address risks and emergencies; and promoting a culture of security, safety, and preventive awareness among all members of the university community, in cooperation and coordination with the relevant colleges, departments, and units.

Objectives of the Department:

1. To provide a safe university environment for all students, employees, and visitors, and to protect lives, property, university buildings, and facilities.
2. To implement security and safety systems and procedures in accordance with approved standards, legislation, and regulations, while continuously developing and improving them.
3. To prevent potential risks within the university campus, identify sources of danger, and take the necessary measures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
4. To develop and update emergency, evacuation, and incident response plans, and ensure the University's preparedness to deal with various emergency situations and crises.
5. To promote a culture of security, safety, and preventive awareness among students and employees through awareness programs, training sessions, workshops, and specialized lectures.
6. To organize and conduct periodic emergency and evacuation drills and enhance the preparedness and response capabilities of members of the university community.
7. To monitor safety and fire protection systems and equipment, ensure their readiness and operational effectiveness, and take the necessary measures for their maintenance and development.
8. To strengthen cooperation and coordination with relevant official authorities, Civil Defense institutions, security agencies, and other concerned entities in order to enhance the level of security and safety within the University.
