Al-Israa University and the Egyptian Committee Discuss Enhancing Cooperation and Supporting the Education Sector in Gaza

A delegation from Al-Israa University met with Mr. Moein Abu Al-Hussein, Director of the Egyptian Committee in the Gaza Strip, to discuss prospects for strengthening joint cooperation and ways to support higher education and educational institutions in the Strip, amid the exceptional circumstances and ongoing challenges facing the educational process.
The university delegation included Dr. Abdel Fattah Qarman, Dean of Scientific Research and Libraries; Dr. Basel Al-Sheikh, Dean of the Faculty of Intermediate Studies; Dr. Ramez Hassouna, Head of the Business Administration Department; and Dr. Mohammed Abu Amra, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Intermediate Studies.
The meeting addressed a number of issues and areas related to the education sector, foremost among them strengthening the role of the Egyptian Committee in supporting educational institutions, expanding areas of academic cooperation, supporting the continuity of the educational process, and enhancing the capacity of higher education institutions to withstand challenges and continue fulfilling their academic and community missions.
The two sides also reviewed Al-Israa University's priorities and ways to support and empower the university to continue its educational and academic journey, ensuring the continued provision of educational services to students, maintaining its role in serving the community, and carrying out its mission despite the current circumstances and challenges.
Participants emphasized the importance of maintaining channels of communication and coordination between the two sides and developing areas of cooperation in ways that serve the higher education sector, contribute to strengthening the resilience of educational institutions in the Gaza Strip, and ensure the continuity of their academic and community missions.
The meeting comes as part of Al-Israa University's efforts to expand its network of relations and cooperation with various supporting organizations. These efforts aim to strengthen the university's academic and community presence, support its endeavors to maintain the continuity of education, serve its students and community, and enhance its ability to continue fulfilling its educational and academic mission.
