Israa University Launches Website for Its Scientific Journal to Promote Academic Publishing
Gaza – Public Relations
Israa University in Palestine has launched a website for the Israa University Journal of Humanities as part of its efforts to develop its scientific publishing system, advance digital transformation in academic work, and provide an online platform that enables researchers, academics, and students to access published research and studies, explore the journal’s issues, and learn about its research areas.
The launch comes within the university’s broader strategy to develop the digital infrastructure of its scientific journals and expand access to research output. The initiative aims to facilitate access to academic knowledge, strengthen communication between researchers and scientific institutions, and enhance the presence of Palestinian research in Arab and international academic circles.
The website provides an online platform introducing the journal, its vision, mission, and objectives, while offering access to its issues and published research. This will help researchers follow scientific output in the humanities and related disciplines and benefit from peer-reviewed studies in preparing their own research and academic work.
Dr. Asmaa Nasr, Editor-in-Chief of the journal, emphasized that strengthening the journal’s online presence represents an important step toward improving researchers’ access to its scientific content, facilitating access to published research, and enhancing communication with researchers and reviewers from Palestinian, Arab, and international universities.
She added that “the website provides a knowledge-sharing space that highlights research output and supports the journal’s efforts to attract original studies that make scientific contributions to the humanities.” She also stressed the importance of continuing to develop electronic services and editorial policies in line with academic quality and integrity standards.
For his part, Dr. Abdel Fattah Qarman, Dean of Scientific Research and Libraries at the university, affirmed that the website launch falls within the university’s vision of developing its scientific research and academic publishing system, leveraging digital technologies to broaden access to knowledge, and improving the services provided to researchers.
He noted that developing online platforms for scientific journals helps strengthen their academic presence and facilitates the dissemination and use of research. He also emphasized the university’s continued efforts to improve publishing and peer-review quality and develop technical and editorial processes in ways that reinforce the standing of the university and its scientific journals.
The website launch comes as the Israa University Journal of Humanities continues to advance its research and editorial activities. In July 2026, the journal published its 21st issue, featuring 12 peer-reviewed research papers in Arabic and English. The papers addressed topics in accounting and financial sciences, business administration, law, political science, media, educational administration, curricula and teaching methods, as well as applications of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
The journal has also achieved a significant academic milestone by receiving a Q2 classification in the 2026 Arab Citation and Impact Factor Report (ARCIF), with an impact factor of 0.3091 in the field of arts and humanities. This achievement underscores the importance of continuing to develop publishing tools and increase the visibility of the journal’s scholarly output.
Through the development and updating of the website for the Israa University Journal of Humanities, Israa University seeks to strengthen its digital academic presence and facilitate access to published research and studies for researchers, academics, and other interested readers. These efforts aim to promote knowledge dissemination and the exchange of scientific expertise, support research addressing societal issues, and keep pace with recent developments in electronic academic publishing.
