Al-Isra University Celebrates Graduation of Students in "Sponsorship of Distinguished Students" Project
Al-Zahra, Gaza – Al-Isra University held a ceremony to honor students who participated in the "Sponsorship of Distinguished Students" project, funded by the International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) - Kuwait, which supported 48 male and female students. The event took place in the Al-Quds Hall at the university's main campus in Al-Zahra City. The ceremony was attended by: Prof. Abdulkhaleq Al-Farra, University President Dr. Alaa Matar, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Al-Hassaina, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Ahmed Abu Diya, Representative of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Gaza Deans of faculties and university department directors The honored students and their families Prof. Abdulkhaleq Al-Farra expressed gratitude to Kuwait, its leadership, and its people, highlighting Kuwait’s honorable stances in supporting the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. He also thanked the IICO for its effective role in serving education and students, particularly at Al-Isra University, through the "Sponsorship of Distinguished Students" project. Prof. Al-Farra emphasized the importance of this project in enhancing the university’s role in promoting excellence and guiding youth toward a bright future. He added: "The graduation of these students contributes to their integration into the labor market and the realization of their goals and aspirations," praising the fruitful cooperation between the university and the IICO - Kuwait. For his part, Mr. Badr Saud Al-Sumait, Director General of the IICO, expressed his happiness with the project’s implementation, which alleviates financial burdens on students and helps them complete their educational and professional journeys. The project included several training courses aimed at refining their skills in key areas such as computer science, English language, leadership, and personal development. Mr. Al-Sumait thanked Al-Isra University for its pioneering role in enhancing students' capabilities and preparing them for the job market. At the end of the ceremony, completion certificates were awarded to the participating students, who expressed their joy and gratitude for the support they received.
