Al-Isra University’s IDEA Incubator Launches Its First Guidance Program for High School Graduates in Gaza
l-Zahra, Gaza – Al-Isra University’s IDEA Incubator launched its inaugural guidance program for high school graduates in the Gaza Strip. The two-day event, held at the university’s main campus in Al-Zahra, aimed to help students make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures. Day One: Exploring Academic Paths Dr. Hassan Abu Matar, Director of the IDEA Incubator, welcomed the attendees and congratulated them on their high school graduation. He explained the incubator’s role in guiding students toward optimal university major selection and supporting their entrepreneurial ideas to help them enter global markets through freelancing and innovation. Dr. Alaa Matar, Vice President for Academic Affairs, provided an overview of the academic programs and scholarships offered at Al-Isra University, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to high-quality education and fostering a creative learning environment. The first day also included: An introduction to academic and professional programs by faculty members and department heads. A campus tour showcasing the university’s labs, lecture halls, and facilities. Day Two: Skill-Building Workshops The second day featured specialized training workshops: "CV Writing Skills" – Presented by Ms. Fatima Harb (IDEA Incubator team member), who detailed how to craft an effective resume. "Scholarship Opportunities & Academic Networking" – Led by Dr. Ahmed Al-Masri (Director of International Research), who shared his experience in securing scholarships and highlighted the university’s global academic partnerships. "Remote Work Opportunities" – Conducted by Engineer Mayser Kahil, who explored freelancing as a viable income source for students during and after their studies. Closing Remarks & Future Plans Dr. Abu Matar thanked the students for their active participation and promised more initiatives to enhance their skills and career prospects. About IDEA Incubator Launched earlier this year, IDEA Incubator serves as Al-Isra University’s gateway to empowering graduates and Palestinian youth in Gaza, particularly in remote work and global freelancing opportunities.
