Groundbreaking Initiative Strengthens International Scientific Collaboration

Supported by the Quebec-Palestine Science Bridge, Al-Isra University's Engineering Dean Concludes Research Visit to Canada Sherbrooke, Quebec – In a strategic move to enhance international academic cooperation, Dr. Ahmed Izzat Al-Sulibi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at Al-Isra University (Gaza), completed a month-long research visit to the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. This initiative, supported by the Quebec-Palestine Science Bridge, aimed to foster scientific exchange between Palestinian and Canadian researchers. Key Research Collaboration Dr. Al-Sulibi collaborated with Prof. Djemel Zioue, an expert in smart cities, to develop AI-driven solutions for traffic congestion management, with a focus on: Optimizing emergency medical logistics (e.g., ambulance dispatch and patient transport) Real-time decision-making using advanced AI techniques, including: Ant colony algorithms Evolutionary algorithms Machine learning models Factors such as patient health status, priority level, ambulance availability, and vehicle suitability were integrated into the AI system to enhance efficiency.
