Israa University Commends the Activism of American University Students and Condemns the Arrest of Hundreds

Amid Israel's ongoing violations of human rights in the Gaza Strip, its relentless attacks and crimes against Palestinian civilians—particularly targeting school and university students who have been deprived of their fundamental right to education as Zionist war machines destroyed their schools and universities—and in light of the official U.S. support for these continuous violations, as well as the American administration's attempts to deceive its own people and mislead domestic and international public opinion, university students across the United States have mobilized. They are denouncing their government's policies and demanding an end to U.S. support for the genocidal war in Gaza. American university students have been joined by their peers in European universities, seeing through the polished official statements made on podiums while policies of unlimited support for the occupation government and its crimes continue openly and in secret. More than 500 students have been arrested from their universities in the U.S. so far, stripped of their right to protest and to practice democracy by expressing their views through legal and peaceful means. The administration of Israa University applauds the activism of these students and calls on students at universities worldwide to join them in the largest legitimate student protest movement to demand justice for their fellow Palestinian school and university students in Gaza. Together, we can create change and make a difference. Together, we can stop the genocide in Gaza.
