The Deanship of Scientific Research at Israa University – Palestine has announced the publication of the tenth issue of the Israa University Journal of Applied Sciences (IUJAS). This issue features a distinguished collection of scientific research in the fields of chemistry, medical and health sciences, engineering, and computer science, with contributions from esteemed researchers in Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Palestine, Sudan, and Japan.
Dr. Abdel Fattah Qarman, Editor-in-Chief of the journal, emphasized that this issue serves as a challenge to current difficult circumstances and reaffirms the role of scientific research in Palestine. He noted that the journal has achieved significant global progress, having been upgraded to Q3 category and obtaining an Impact Factor Score (IFS) of 0.96, which reflects the high quality of the published research.
Dr. Qarman explained that the journal has gained global trust among researchers after being indexed in the Scopus database—an achievement that demonstrates the editorial board’s commitment to the highest scientific quality standards. He confirmed that the journal continues to publish two issues annually, in April and October, despite the considerable challenges facing the education and research sectors.
Dr. Qarman also announced that the journal is officially accepting submissions for the second issue of Volume 8 via its website. He stressed that the editorial board is continually striving to elevate the journal’s global ranking and to reinforce its reputation as a reliable platform for publishing high-quality research.
On his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Masri, Chair of the Scientific Journals Council at the Deanship of Scientific Research, praised the significant support provided by the university administration and the dedicated efforts of the editorial team and peer reviewers in making this issue a success. He also expressed appreciation for the researchers from various countries who contributed their work and enriched the journal’s content.
Dr. Al-Masri further stated that the Scientific Journals Council is currently working on upgrading the scientific journals website to enhance its modernity, usability, and user-friendliness, ensuring a seamless experience for researchers. The updates include improved search and navigation functions, as well as interactive tools that simplify the process of submission and tracking of research papers. Additionally, artificial intelligence technologies are being integrated to support the peer-review process and to provide research recommendations that help improve the quality of submissions—ultimately enhancing the efficiency of academic publishing at the university.
It is worth noting that the Israa University Journal of Applied Sciences (IUJAS) is indexed in the Scopus database and holds an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN: 2523-052) and a Digital Object Identifier prefix (DOI prefix: 10.52865). The journal is also listed in the UNESCO-affiliated ROOD platform and several other global scientific databases.
