Al-Israa University and Sameer Foundation discuss enhancing cooperation and supporting medical students

Al-Israa University and the Sameer Foundation discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation between the two sides in the upcoming phase, with a focus on supporting medical students and providing them with scholarships, during an official meeting that brought together representatives from both parties.
The delegation of Al-Israa University included Prof. Dr. Alaa Mattar, Dr. Monther Azzam, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Salibi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, and Dr. Iyad Abu Al-Khair, Director of Public Relations.
The Sameer Foundation delegation included Dr. Azzedine Lolo, Executive Director of the Foundation, Dr. Adnan N. Skiek, Field Projects Coordinator, and Dr. Abdul Karim Smour, Academic Programs Coordinator.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Alaa Mattar, President of the University, affirmed that the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Israa University represents a fundamental pillar in the university’s academic vision and receives strong and continuous support from the university administration, in recognition of the importance of preparing qualified physicians both scientifically and practically to serve the community.
He pointed out that the university is committed to providing an integrated educational environment for medical students by attracting distinguished academic staff, enhancing practical training opportunities, and offering facilitations and scholarships that help students successfully continue their academic journey.
Dr. Mattar also commended the efforts of the Sameer Foundation in supporting the educational and medical sectors, emphasizing the importance of such partnerships in opening new horizons for students and improving the quality of education.
For his part, Dr. Azzedine Lolo presented an overview of the Sameer Foundation and its various programs, noting that the foundation places special emphasis on supporting the medical and health education sectors through scholarships and the implementation of programs and initiatives aimed at developing young competencies. He reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to continuing its support for the medical field in a way that contributes to improving the quality of healthcare services in society.
He also expressed his great pride in supporting the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Israa University and its students, stressing that this support reflects the foundation’s firm commitment to strengthening medical education and enabling students to complete their academic journey with competence and excellence.
He praised the distinguished cooperation with the university, describing it as a successful model of constructive partnership between academic and community institutions, expressing his aspiration to expand this cooperation in the coming phase to serve students and contribute to the development of the medical sector.
The visit comes as part of both parties’ efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships, exchange expertise, and expand areas of cooperation in a way that serves the educational and developmental process, particularly in the medical field.
