The Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at Al-Israa University held a welcoming and training session for its students titled "Self-Planning: An Academic and Professional Vision" in the Al-Quds Hall at the university's main campus in Al-Zahra City. The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Al-Hassaina, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences; Dr. Raafat Al-Hour, Head of the Business Administration Department; Dr. Mohammed Abu Yousef, Head of the Accounting Department; and the guest speaker, Mr. Taher Al-Assar, a human development expert. At the beginning of the session, Dr. Raafat Al-Hour welcomed the attendees, faculty members, and both new and returning students of Al-Israa University. He outlined the session's objectives, which revolved around two main goals: welcoming new and returning students at the start of the new academic year and guiding them in self-planning for a successful academic and professional future that achieves their goals. In his speech, Dr. Ahmed Al-Hassaina expressed his warm welcome to all colleagues, academic figures, and students, emphasizing that Al-Israa University is a university for all Palestinians. He highlighted the importance of familiarizing oneself with the university’s laws, regulations, and instructions by reviewing the student handbook on the university’s website. He noted that the university provides all the means for success and that the faculty’s doors are open to address student inquiries through department heads and faculty members. He also extended his gratitude to the attendees and Mr. Taher Al-Assar for his valuable lecture. Mr. Taher Al-Assar thanked the university for the warm reception and encouraged students to make the most of the session. During his lecture, he discussed self-planning, its importance, and its benefits for students, as well as its key components. He also addressed the challenges and obstacles students may face while planning their academic and professional futures and how to overcome them.
